Vit Vilímek
Geohazards, Geomorphology
Vit is full professor at the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology, Faculty of Science, Charles University in Prague, where he conducts research in geomorphology and natural hazards (e.g. GLOFs and landslides). The main focus is in high mountain areas such as the Andes or Alps and more recently in Central Asia as well.

Irene M. Bollati
Geomorphology, Dendrogeomorphology, Geoheritage
Irene is a associated professor at the Department of Earth Sciences "Ardito Desio" of the University of Milan (Italy), where she conducts research in the field of geomorphological mapping and sediment connectivity, dendro-geomorphology and geoheritage and geodiversity. The activity of geomorphic processes affecting high mountain environments is the object of interest as a potential source of geohazards and, in the view of geoheritage modifications.

Jan Kropáček
Remote Sensing, Glaciology
Jan is an associated Professor at the Department of Physical Geography and Geoecology, Charles University, Prague. His research is focused on remote sensing of natural hazards related to deglaciation. More broadly he strives to understand what is the impact of climate change on the mountain environment and consequent threats to the society. He uses satellite altimetry, multispectral and microwave imagery and historical photographs and engravings to analyze hazard processes in remote areas with difficult access.
